For Web Design Clients:
Copyright Violation: Violation of copyrights
held by individuals and corporations or other
entities can result in civil and criminal
liability for the infringer, and can involve
SGH in litigation and possible loss of reputation.
Do not present us with text, images, or other
content that you do not have the right to
use.
Content Ownership: Client will obtain all
rights of copy, authorizations and permissions
for use of text, graphics, logos, and other
website elements that were created by SGH.
Link Back: Client agrees to display a link
back to SGH on their website. SGH agrees
to place the link in an esthetically pleasing
location that fits with the client’s
website design.
Payment: Unless previous
arrangements have been made, all web design
clients must pay
50% of the project quotation price promptly
after it has been agreed upon. The remaining
50% will be paid after the project is
completed and the client is satisfied. Payments
can
be made by Paypal, check, money order, or
US cash.
Post Completed Refunds: Receipt of the
final payment acknowledges acceptance of
the final project. Once the final project
is uploaded onto the client's server, no
refunds will be issued.
Pre Completed Refunds:
If a client wishes to terminate the project,
after the time
the initial deposit is made, and before
the project is completed, refunds will
be issued. Refunds will be based on the
amount
of work completed.
For
Networking Clients:
Licensed software: We
can not legally install software on your
computer that we know
is pirated. If you plan on using software
that has not been paid for, we can not
install it for you. We can, however,
help you find free
Open Source alternatives that
are
nearly as good as their insanely priced
corporate counterparts.
Responsibility: For clients
who have their network created by SGH, full
coverage
is given for all aspects of the network.
This
coverage continues unless the client wishes
to make changes or “experiment” with
the network, at which time responsibility
becomes solely the client’s.
If
upgrades become essential to the security
or functionality
of the network, it is the client’s
responsibility to authorize SGH to make
the upgrades, or responsibility transfers
solely on the client.
For clients who have their networks upgraded
(pre-existing network), responsibility
will be honestly delegated to the diagnosed
cause
of the problem. Any issues caused by SGH
will be full responsibility of SGH, and
likewise for the client.
“Network” Responsibility:
Although computers and peripherals are part
of the
whole network, the network itself is not
able not create any problems for them.
Internet connectivity or other network function
might
cease, but that is the extent of their
involvement. It is for this reason that
computers and
other peripherals are not covered in “network
responsibility”.
Payment: Unless previous
arrangements have been made, all networking
clients who provide
their own hardware must pay 50% of the
project quotation price promptly after it
has been
agreed upon. The remaining 50% will be
paid after the project is completed and
the client is satisfied.
For clients who purchase hardware through
SGH, the cost of equipment plus 25%
of labor costs is due prior to the project
start
date. The remaining 75% of labor costs
will be paid after the project is completed
and
the client is satisfied. Payments can
be made by Paypal, check, money order, or
US cash.
Post Completed Refunds:
Receipt of the final payment acknowledges
acceptance of
the final project. After this time no
refunds will be issued.
Pre Completed Refunds:
If a client wishes to terminate the project,
after the time
the initial deposit is made, and before
the project is completed, refunds will
be issued. Refunds will be based on the
amount
of work completed.
For
Custom Computer Clients:
Responsibility: All
computers created by SGH are fully guaranteed
for a period
of 90 days. During this period all hardware
(that is still under manufacturer warranty) that malfunctions will be the responsibility
of SGH. After this period, all hardware
will be the responsibility of the client.
If a problem is due to faulty hardware
that is still under manufacturer’s
warranty, then client has the option
of contacting the manufacturer or having
SGH do so on his/her behalf at no extra
charge. If client opts to have SGH contact
the manufacturer then client will pay
any shipping or additional charges from the supplier that
may be incurred pertaining to the replacement
hardware. Replacement of hardware that malfunctions during the first 90 days but is outside of the manufacturer's warranty will be at client's cost, but labor will be free.
“Hardware” Responsibility:
Client assumes responsibility for his/her
usage of the custom computer once it is
turned over to him/her. It is for this
reason that SGH is not responsible for software
or data malfunction, unless the cause
is
determined to be hardware failure. “Hardware” responsibility
covers all physical components of the
computer, which SGH has assembled.
Payment: Unless previous
arrangements have been made, all custom
computer clients must
pay 100% of the project price promptly
after it has been agreed upon. This includes
the
cost of parts and labor. Payments can
be made by Paypal, check, money order, or
US cash.
Returns: If a return is
requested before labor has begun, a refund
will be issued,
less a $100 restocking fee that covers
the cost of shipping and restocking to the
parts
manufacturer and the time needed to do so.
If labor has begun, a refund will be issued
for parts that qualify for return to the
manufacturer, less a $100 restocking fee
that covers the cost of shipping and restocking
to the parts manufacturer and the time needed to do so. (Some items
are not able to be returned after the
package has been opened.)
If labor has ended, no returns or exchanges
will be issued. Please see “Responsibility” for
an explanation of what SGH covers in the
event of faulty hardware, and for details
on the 30 day full guarantee.
